Pump & Water System Inspection & Fault Finding

This service is how we find what’s wrong with a pump system and put it right. We inspect the full installation, test it under real operating conditions, identify the root cause of the fault, and repair or correct the issue where possible. If parts need replacing, we explain why and carry out the work. We don’t guess, and we don’t just point — we get the system working properly again.

What this service includes

On-site inspection of the complete pump system
Electrical and control panel checks
Pressure, flow, and performance testing under load
Mechanical inspection of pumps and fittings
Identification of faults, wear, or incorrect setup
Minor repairs, adjustments, and corrections on site where possible
Clear explanation of what was wrong and what was done

What this service does not include

Major component replacement requiring specialised lifting or civil work
Borehole drilling or rehabilitation
Large-scale system redesigns
Items listed above may be handled as separate follow-up work where required.

This service is suitable for

Pump systems that keep tripping, cycling, or behaving erratically
Low or unstable pressure with no obvious cause
Pumps running but delivering poor or inconsistent flow
Systems that have been modified over time and no longer work correctl
Situations where “it used to work, but now it doesn’t”

How the work is done

Inspect the full system, including pump, pipework, controls, and storage
Run the system and observe how it behaves under normal conditions
Test electrical supply, protection devices, and controller settings
Identify the real cause of the problem — not just the symptom
Repair, adjust, or correct faults where possible during the visit
Explain what was done and what, if anything, still needs attention

Problems this service fixes

Pumps cutting in and out repeatedly
Low or fluctuating pressure
Pumps running without delivering expected flow
Systems losing prime
Electrical trips or overload faults
Sudden drops in performance
Incorrect pump or controller settings

What you can expect

A pump system that operates correctly again
Faults identified and resolved where possible
Clear understanding of any remaining issues
Confidence that the system is safe and correctly set up
A practical plan if further work or replacement is required

What we need to do the work

Reasonable access to the pump, controls, and associated equipment is required. The system must be powered and safe to operate for testing

Limitations

Some faults only become fully visible once components are removed or after extended operation. Severe mechanical failures may require follow-up repair or replacement work
